For a long time, Sarah Hutchinson had no desire to pass over beyond the Light. INN Philadelphia was HER house, and no one was going to make her leave it. She put up a lot of good bravado, but the fact of the matter was that she was terribly alone and frightened, and she blamed Michael and I for stealing John, her husband, away from her.
Then the restaurant's owners, Phil and George, decided to have a "Seance Dinner", with psychic Craig McManus. John and Elizabeth told us that it would be a fiasco, but since we and Michael's sister Terry wanted to go, so badly, they consented to accompany us to this dinner. Of course, Sarah herself had sworn, previously, that she wanted no parts of this "tom foolery", as she said to Terry, one evening in the INN's Ladies Room. Apparently, on the night of the event, she had a change of heart.
The place was packed, and we ate our dinners at long tables, alonside afficiados of the paranormal......many of who enthusiastically buy into what I call the "Psychic Party Line", where reincarnation is the Cosmic "Edict", and spirits just LOOOVE hanging around houses and being the objects of side-show mumbo-jumbo.
Anyway, Craig went into his spiel, after I told him that we already knew the spirits of the INN. I told him that Sarah was the only one left. So he went into the main diningroom, and declared that he sensed a little girl (whose name was Emily. She followed George home, one day, and we later helped her over). Of course there was no attempt made to get little Emily to cross over, but I digress.
Very soon, Sarah was on the scene, even though she had vowed that she would not make an appearance. Craig spoke to her, and she did not like him very much. She kept complaining about the flower arrangements, ad why couldn't there be more daisies??? At one point, he told her it is time to move on, and she said "There are the stairs! You are welcome to leave!" We all thought this was pretty funny. All he could get from her name was an "S", but he DID give me credit for telling him "Sarah". She kept going on about the "man of the house" (John, who was standing right behind me, the whole meal). Craig could only decipher a "J" sound, but then blew it, when he tried to kiss one of the owners' asses by telling him the name was George! I wanted to jump up and yell "NO, damn it!"
Sarah became belligerent, the more the night went on, and Craig DID intuit the fact that "the man of the house" had a mistress named Phyllis. Sarah threw Phyllis down a flight of stairs and killed her! All this time, Sarah seemed malevolent enough to commit murder.........no we had found out that she HAD!
Later, I asked John about this and he said, yes, he DID have a mistress. He and Sarah did not get along, and in those days, divorce was a real no-no! I do not blame him. But from Sarah's performance at the Seance Dinner, onward, Sarah started to become more overt.
For instance, she NEVER came out to the Secret Garden, before the Seance Dinner. She always stayed in the Franklin Room and paced around, "presiding over all the festivities". NOW, she was attending us in the Secret Garden and occasionally throwing things at me, LOL. Her outdoor domain was the tall brick wall that surrounded the garden from the street. I could feel her....a constant sense of rage, to the right of me.
Then one day, Michael and I were alone, in the garden, relaxing over coffee. Michael had gotten into a conversation with a woman who was haunting the Plastic Club, next door to the INN. It is an art gallery, and they had the back door open. I could see her white orbs caressing the paintings.
She thought Michael and I were scandalous, because we had so few clothes on (tank tops, shorts; a sundress). We told her the year was 2002, and this is how people dressed. She became irate and would not believe us. Instead she said we were low-class riff-raff, and to get out of her sight.
On a whim, I taunted her and told her she was dead, dead dead! This upset her SO badly that she ended up on in the garden with us, saying, basically "what do you MEAN?" We asked her to look for the Light, and she found it, exclaiming over its beauty. Shortly after, we got her to cross over. Her name is Esmirelda and she visits us occasionally.
Little did we know that Sarah had seen the whole performance, had seen what it was like on the Other Side, and although it frightened her, at first, she realized what a dismal life she was leading, there at the INN.
So, for the next week, she followed Michael around everywere, playing nasty tricks....she is now sorry for doing what she did, but she said, at that point, she could not help herself. Finally, she let herself be known at our house, and simply announced:
"I want to go home. Send me over."
We called on family members to come get her, and her older, unmarried sister, Tabatha Pierce came to get her. Within seconds, Sarah had passed over.....FINALLY!
Soon after, Michael channeled Sarah, and for the first time, I got to talk to her. She apologized profusely for everything she had done, and for the insane way she had acted, over the years. She seemed a very gracious lady, all of a sudden, and we hit it off very well!
She has since made amends to Phyllis, who no longer harbors a grudge, and she even made up with Eilizabeth. Now Sarah and Tabatha are inseparable.
For awhile, they lived in Tabathas big house, however the call of the INN is still great, for Sarah. She still visits, and "Supervises" the wait staff. Who knows, she may actually be doing that.
NOW, when we go to the INN, she treats us like royalty, opening doors for us etc.. I told her she should reproduce the INN on the Other Side, and then SHE would own it. She told us she owns THIS INN, LOL, but perhaps she is giving it some thought. Maybe she likes being around us....who knows?
At any rate, all of the members of the family Hutchinson are now at peace.
Later this fall we are going to do a rescue of all the poor slaves who died in their escape tunnels, and are still there! So the INN is on-going.
